This compact New York kitchen exemplifies Scandinavian minimalism with custom-built functionality and refined material choices. The cabinetry — all crafted from wood and finished in a soft matte white — includes sleek upper wall units, base cabinets with drawers and internal shelving systems, as well as integrated appliance housing for the oven, fridge, and dishwasher. A seamless under-sink cabinet complements the clean layout. A marble countertop with soft gray veining tops all lower cabinetry, including a custom-designed kitchen island that doubles as both a prep and serving space. The backsplash features light gray subway tiles arranged in a running bond pattern, adding depth and texture without visual clutter. The floor is finished with large-format tiles in warm off-white beige, tying the entire space together with warmth and simplicity. Recessed ceiling lighting in the form of halogens enhances brightness and clarity, while ceiling molding adds a touch of architectural polish. We also painted the dining area walls in crisp white and handled all kitchen fixture and appliance installations with precision.
